About Me


I earned my Master's of Social Work from San Francisco State University in 2009. My thesis explored the experience of parents of transgender children, with a focus on strategies of support, affirmation, and advocacy.

Additionally, I have Master's d egree in Human Sexuality from San Francisco State University. For my thesis project, I produced and directed a t raining video for medical and social service providers to increase cultural competence when working with transgender, gender variant, and gender queer patients.

Since entering the field, I have worked in community and forensic mental health, in residential drug treatment settings, and as a psychotherapist at a mental health clinic for members of the Queer community.
